Hand cut and polished stones sit in a custom oval, round and new rectangle setting. These slide on a snake chain and finished with two drops.
30” long with a slip over head style. Full descriptions of all of the stones offered have been added in the last photo. Every stone in these necklaces is cut by me. They are personally sourced from small rock shops, collectors and directly from family owned mines. I love to research and look for rocks that come from the western part of the US and Mexico. Each necklace has the name and location of the rock used written on the tag. All pieces now come with a keepsake bag, a care card and polishing cloth
About Sarah Safavi Jewelry
I love slicing into stones that look like nothing special from the outside and finding bizarre patterns and incredible colors that nature and time have created. All stones are personally and ethically sourced by me. I plan road trips around tiny rock shops, keep my eye on the classifieds and make friends with old rock hounds to find specific stones I want and discover new uncommon ones. Not precious, but unique and beautiful. Specifically I look for stones from the western part of the US, I like to keep the footprint of my little business as small as I can as well as celebrate what makes the West so special. Making pieces that feel fresh yet timeless is my mission. I want a piece to look just as at home in your cool neighborhood shop as it does in an estate sale. Landscapes and the style of the Southwest, Modernism and 70’s babes are all in my well of inspiration. My education has been a mix of learning as I go as well as formal education from other jewelers/studios. Silversmithing, lapidary and lost wax casting are all part of my processes. In the past ten years, I have lived in San Francisco and Salt Lake City, where I currently reside with my husband and two little girls, working in a studio in Sugarhouse.
